Matchtech seeks a qualified Management Accountant with payroll reconciliation experience to join a complex finance function on a contract basis. You will validate balance sheet and control accounts across multiple entities, support audit readiness and drive process improvement.

You will work with payroll, shared services and external teams to resolve variances, deliver certification packs and sustain a standardized reconciliation framework.

Qualificações

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliation, account review and control account investigation.
• Experience of month-end close in a complex or multi-entity finance environment.
• Ability to investigate historical accounting issues with incomplete data.
• Understanding of payroll accounting and payroll reconciliations.
• Experience supporting audit or transformation programmes is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct structured reviews of balance sheet and control accounts.
• Assess account completeness, supporting evidence and reconciling items.
• Reconstruct account history to identify root causes and misstatements.
• Investigate unsupported balances and aged reconciling items.
• Collaborate with payroll, shared services and external teams to resolve variances.
• Oversee corrective actions and verify balance accuracy and policy compliance.
• Prepare balance sheet certification packs and audit-ready documentation.
• Drive standardisation through reconciliation tools and guidelines.
