Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to manage day-to-day of management accounts and payroll across multiple group companies. You will join a small, collaborative finance team reporting to the Financial Controller.

The role requires solid double-entry bookkeeping knowledge, strong IT and software skills, and proficiency in Excel and Xero. AAT qualification is preferred or progression towards it.

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounts preparation.
• Payroll and pension administration knowledge.
• Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Xero.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Handle VAT return preparation.
• Oversee payroll and pension administration.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Process purchase and sales ledgers.
• Process supplier payments within agreed timescales.
