Talent Acquisition Manager | SHORTS Chartered Accountants

The Role

Working within a chartered accountancy practice, you will report to the Client FC/Client FD. Your responsibilities include preparing Management Accounts for larger clients with complex reporting needs, VAT returns, and Year End Accounts. You will also be involved in software projects such as conversions to Xero, Xero training/support, and process improvements on other accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client: Handling larger clients with complex reporting, preparing management accounts, VAT returns, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, understanding client software, and providing financial reports and variance commentary.
2. Genus: Standardizing processes, adopting best practices, attending departmental meetings, managing client portfolios, delegating work, supporting team members, workload management, maintaining work plans, and providing feedback.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

1. Skills: Attention to detail, organized, time management, self-motivated, good communication, flexible.
2. Experience: Management accounts preparation, experience in a chartered practice, familiarity with Xero/Sage, 4-5 years practice experience, year-end prep experience preferred.
3. Qualifications: AAT (or equivalent), ACA or ACCA.
