Job summary

Kenton Black is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to lead the production of management accounts with commentary and analysis for a growing group of companies. The role involves ownership of group reporting and consolidated financial information, with oversight of budgets and forecasts.

You will support UK and overseas statutory accounts preparation and audits, provide cost and margin analysis, and identify risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional with CIMA/ACCA/ACA and minimum 2 years PQE.
• Strong technical accounting skills with commercial acumen.
• Experience producing accounts for overseas subsidiaries advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own management accounts production including commentary and analysis.
• Produce group reporting and consolidated financial information.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Support statutory accounts preparation and audit for UK and overseas.
• Provide cost and margin analysis, identifying trends and risks.
• Manage cash flow and fixed asset registers.
• Handle VAT and intrastat returns for UK and overseas.
• Deliver ad hoc reporting for senior management and drive process improvements.

Your New Role as Senior Management Accountant:

• Line management responsibility for 2-3 Accounts Assistants
• Ownership of management accounts production including commentary and analysis
• Production of group reporting and consolidated financial information
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Support with statutory accounts preparation and audit for the UK and overseas
• Provision of cost and margin analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
• Management of the fixed asset registers
• Cash flow management
• VAT and intrastat returns for the UK and overseas
• Provision of ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management to aid effective decision making and strategic planning
• Key player in continual improvement initiatives relating to systems and processes within the finance function

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

Full CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification is essential for this role, with a minimum of 2 years PQE. The ideal candidate will have solid technical accounting skills with strong commercial acumen and the ability to build strong working relationships across a variety of stakeholders. Experience of producing accounts for overseas subsidiaries is highly advantageous with knowledge of relevant legislation. A forward thinking and proactive working approach is required with proven ability to add value to the finance function through process enhancements.
