Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group in Andover is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the finance team and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. You will support month-end close, reconciliations, asset care, and management reporting while collaborating across the business to improve processes.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong financial accounting background.
• Part-qualified or QBE with strong technical accounting experience considered.
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Organised, analytical and able to communicate financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet).
• Support month-end close activities including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain fixed asset register and assist with year-end and audits.
• Produce analysis and support budgeting/forecasting and management reporting.
• Collaborate across the business to improve reporting processes and data accuracy.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
• Supporting month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany accounting
• Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register and assisting with year-end and external audit requirements
• Producing financial analysis and supporting management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to improve reporting processes, controls, and data accuracy

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA quailed with a strong financial accounting background. Will also consider part-qualified or QBE with strong technical accounting experience
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
• Well-organised, analytical, and able to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders
