Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Major Projects Manager to lead development and delivery of major opportunities from £10m to £150m. You will coordinate commercial, operational and technical inputs with our Major Projects Director to win bids and ensure successful project delivery.

The role focuses on managing major project opportunities, stakeholder engagement, and delivering projects in line with customer requirements and company objectives, contributing to pipeline growth.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, Commercial Management, Project Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, building materials or similar sector.
• Knowledge of tendering, project delivery, bid management or commercial processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate major project opportunities from tender through to delivery.
• Lead bid and proposal activities ensuring on-time, high-quality submissions.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, technical and procurement teams.
• Support contract management, forecasting, pricing and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across projects.
