Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK (formerly Hanson UK) is seeking a Major Projects Manager to drive development and delivery of major projects from tender to delivery across the UK construction sector.

You will coordinate commercial, operational and technical inputs with Bid, Contract and Procurement teams, manage stakeholder relationships and monitor performance to meet customer requirements and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering, Commercial Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Experience within construction, infrastructure, building materials or a similar sector.
• Knowledge of tendering, project delivery, bid management or commercial management processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating major project opportunities from tender through to delivery.
• Leading bid and proposal activities, ensuring submissions are completed on time and to a high standard.
• Working collaboratively with commercial, operational, technical and procurement teams.
• Supporting contract management, forecasting, pricing and commercial reporting.
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identifying risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
