Job summary

Marie Curie is seeking a senior, commercially-minded Philanthropy Lead to drive high-value growth and deepen engagement with supporters across the UK. You will own a high-value donor portfolio, secure and steward five and six figure gifts, and shape a donor-centric fundraising strategy in collaboration with senior leaders.

You will build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, develop compelling propositions and represent Marie Curie externally to raise the charity’s profile.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in major donor or philanthropy fundraising.
• Experience securing five or six figure gifts.
• Ability to engage high-net-worth individuals and senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial judgment with a donor-centric approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of leading high-value conversations.

Responsibilities

• Build a pipeline of high-net-worth individuals through outreach, networking and relationship building.
• Own and manage your prospect pipeline and identify new opportunities.
• Initiate conversations, arrange meetings and design bespoke cultivation journeys.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and volunteers to nurture donor relationships.
• Develop compelling propositions and confidently solicit five and six-figure gifts.
• Use insights to spot opportunites and raise the profile of Marie Curie with influential audiences.
