Job summary

Powys County Council invites applications for a role leading the preparation for the Tour de France, National Eisteddfod and International Six-Day Enduro in 2027. You will act as the lead officer, coordinating with event organisers and partner agencies to ensure safe, well-planned operations across highways, transport, parking and public facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Council’s preparations for the Tour de France, the National Eisteddfod and the International Six-Day Enduro in 2027.
• Act as the Council’s lead officer and main contact for event organisers, partner agencies and stakeholders.
• Coordinate traffic management, road closures, diversions, parking, public transport and visitor management.
• Coordinate waste, recycling, litter collection, street cleaning, public toilets and welfare facilities.
• Prepare management plans, impact assessments, briefing reports and information; represent the Council at strategy and operations meetings.
