Job summary

World Vision UK is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Manager to grow high-value giving, owning a portfolio of major donors and prospects, and converting relationships into gifts of £25,000+ with multi-year commitments. The role sits at a senior external-facing level and requires shaping donor strategies, engaging senior leaders and trustees, and strengthening fundraising practice across the team.

Based in the UK with home-based work and regular UK travel to donor visits/events.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of major donors and prospects, converting gifts of £25,000+ into multi-year commitments.
• Build a strong, active donor pipeline and secure six-figure opportunities.
• Complete ~12 donor or prospect meetings per month, including new/qualified prospects.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and use pipeline data to forecast income.
• Open influential networks through existing supporters, senior colleagues, trustees, volunteers, events, and external networks.
• Raise team performance by modeling relationship fundraising, sharing insights, and coaching peers.
