Job summary

FedEx Express UK Transportation Limited in the Marston Gate Distribution Centre is seeking a skilled Operations Maintenance Technician to oversee plant and equipment, repair and service per schedule, minimizing downtime.

Candidates should have City and Guilds qualification and knowledge of electrical regs, PLCs, and safe working practices. Salary £51,874.20 per year plus allowance, with 40-hour week, Monday-Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical/mechanical engineering (City and Guilds).
• Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition electrical regulations.
• Proven electrical/mechanical maintenance background.
• Ability to read electrical schematic drawings.
• Understanding of PLC controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

• Organise team maintenance and equipment to ensure safe, timely operation.
• Monitor staff attendance and take remedial action when needed.
• Supervise maintenance and complete documentation as required.
• Coordinate with Depot and Operations Managers to resolve issues.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow and health and safety during operations.
• Record all information sheets nightly and accurately.
• Adhere to Group Operations Manual procedures to maintain service levels.
• Return equipment to designated areas and ensure safe working order.
