Job summary

FedEx UK Marston Gate station is seeking an Operations Maintenance Technician to keep all plant and equipment repaired and serviced per the preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring minimal downtime of sortation equipment. The role includes two shifts, 07:30–16:00 and 17:00–01:30, with a 40 hour week and night allowance.

The ideal candidate holds a City and Guilds Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification with knowledge of electrical regulations, PLCs and schematics, and a strong health

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering (City and Guilds).
• Knowledge of electrical regulations (16th/17th edition).
• Ability to read electrical schematic drawings.
• Understanding of PLC controlled equipment.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Organise team maintenance and required equipment to complete tasks safely within operational timeframes.
• Monitor staff attendance and take remedial action where necessary.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with Depot/Operations Managers to resolve issues.
