Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is central to Amazon's commitment to innovation. As Amazon evolves, this team ensures that our tools and technologies adapt accordingly. As a Senior RME Technician, you'll help us stay ahead by adopting the latest technologies and identifying efficient working methods. You’ll monitor our processes to uphold high standards and implement upgrades to improve them further.
Each shift, you’ll lead a team to ensure equipment availability and proper functioning. This involves process monitoring, compliance with regulations, and performing preventative maintenance to increase uptime. You’ll suggest and implement efficiency improvements across the EU. Monitoring tools like Scada will be used to ensure system performance, and you'll collaborate with your line manager on administrative tasks. The role involves shift work, including some weekends and nights, with opportunities for progression into more senior roles.
The RME team maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment across Amazon’s fulfilment centres. Our team includes leaders overseeing operations, and technical experts handling automation, maintenance, and safety compliance. We focus on reducing downtime to ensure timely deliveries. Night shifts and early hours are common, and innovation is encouraged, including implementing new processes and technologies like Amazon Robotics.
