TeacherActive is recruiting a Senior Maintenance Operative for a temporary role in Harborne, Birmingham. The position starts immediately and offers hourly pay between £15 and £18.

You will join a college environment that supports pupils with diverse needs, providing essential maintenance while upholding a safe, inclusive setting. Responsibilities include carrying out general repairs, assisting with maintenance tasks as directed, adhering to lifting and manual handling guidelines, and working

Qualifications

Level 2 in one of Multi Trades.
Experience in general building repairs and maintenance (plastering, carpentry, decorating or similar).
Ability to assist with a wide range of repair tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Understand lifting and manual handling principles and apply them to work.
Physically fit to lift/carry heavy items and work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

Carry out general building repairs and maintenance as directed.
Assist with a wide range of repair and maintenance duties.
Apply lifting and manual handling practices to tasks.
Work on own initiative and respond to emergencies.
Hold a full driving licence.
