Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a college in Harborne, Birmingham to recruit a Senior Maintenance Operative for a temporary role with potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will perform general building repairs and maintenance such as plastering, carpentry and decorating, and must hold Level 2 in Multi Trades.

You must be flexible, able to lift heavy items, drive a full licence, and work with the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Multi Trades
• Experience in general building repairs including plastering, carpentry, decorating or similar tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide range of repair and maintenance duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Understand and apply lifting and manual handling principles
• Be physically fit to lift/carry heavy items
• Work on own initiative and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Hold a full driving licence
