Job summary

Benjamin Moore is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to join our engineering team in Prudhoe. You will lead reactive and preventative maintenance across a GMP-regulated site, ensuring uptime, quality and safety standards are met.

You will diagnostic faults on mechanical and electrical systems, plan and execute improvements, and coordinate with production to minimise downtime. The ideal candidate has ≥5 years in engineering, NVQ3+ or HNC/HND, and relevant certifications (16th/18th

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Proven track record in a regulated GMP environment.
• Certified electrical or mechanical discipline with formal qualification.
• Experience with three-phase motor drives and PLC fault-finding.
• Knowledge of zoned industrial areas and PUWER principles.
• Proactive in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance, maintaining high standards across the site.
• Liaise with management on works in progress.
• Manage maintenance work orders from all departments to regulatory standards.
• Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the factory.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls and prioritise issues.
• Attend plant breakdowns and supervise on-site repairs.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical equipment and conveyors.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to schedule.
• Deliver on uptime and maintenance KPIs through improvements.
