Job summary

The University of Oxford's Department of Engineering Science, located on Parks Road in Oxford, seeks a Senior Maintenance Engineer/Deputy Manager to lead reactive and planned maintenance and project work in the Department in the Maintenance Team Manager's absence.

You will supervise technical personnel and contractors to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment, and oversee maintenance across Keble Triangle buildings with emphasis on reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant formal qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Supervision or leadership experience in maintenance environments.
• Ability to deputise for Maintenance Team Manager when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead reactive and planned preventive maintenance and project work with minimal supervision when deputised.
• Supervise technical staff and contractors to ensure safety, efficiency and productivity.
• Manage maintenance work across Keble Triangle buildings, both planned and reactive.
