Contek Recruitment are representing their client, a well-established industrial business based in Willenhall, West Midlands, who are looking to appoint a Senior Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias.
This is a hands‑on senior engineering position within a busy industrial environment. You will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment, responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance and supporting the wider engineering team.
The role would suit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to take on additional responsibility, including leading maintenance activities, ensuring compliance and coordinating contractors.
The site operates a varied range of heavy industrial equipment, including specialist processing machinery, centrifuge/spinning equipment, heating and drying systems, chemical treatment equipment, pumps, motors, fume extraction systems, cooling equipment and automated material handling systems.
The environment also includes overhead cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, electrical control panels and associated industrial infrastructure.
Previous experience working with overhead cranes or hoists would be advantageous.
Candidates will ideally hold recognised electrical installation and testing qualifications.
However, candidates with relevant electrical maintenance qualifications and strong industrial experience will also be considered.
The position is based on a 40‑hour working week, Monday to Friday.
Working hours will fall within the site's operating window of 06:00 to 22:00, depending on operational requirements.
There will also be opportunities for overtime and out-of‑hours call‑out work, with additional payments available.
