Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced M&E Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical works on a major residential development in Essex. The role involves coordinating M&E services, reviewing drawings, and ensuring works meet programme, safety and quality standards.

You will manage M&E subcontractors and liaise with project leadership to ensure smooth delivery through to completion in 2028, with a strong emphasis on safety, coordination and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Experience managing M&E packages and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Experience in residential developments or large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of UK regulations and M&E standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee M&E services across the residential project from construction through handover.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Managers and design teams; review drawings and specs.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, and issue resolution; monitor progress and quality.
• Support commissioning, testing, snagging and final handover per project schedule.
