Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is recruiting an experienced M&E Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical works on a major residential development in Essex. The role requires coordinating M&E services with the construction programme and project team to ensure safe, on-time delivery of high-quality installations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong M&E background in construction, with proven experience managing packages and subcontractors, and a good grasp of UK building regulations and health

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an M&E Manager in construction projects.
• Strong background in residential developments or large-scale buildings.
• Experience managing M&E packages and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of UK building regulations and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical and electrical services across the project.
• Coordinate M&E with the wider construction programme and project team.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical inputs; resolve coordination issues.
• Manage RFIs and technical queries; monitor progress and quality.
• Support commissioning, testing, snagging and final handover.
