Job summary

Amida Consulting Solutions Ltd is seeking a senior logistics professional to lead on a major UK construction contract. Reporting into the Logistics Director on a 3½ year scheme, you will oversee the supply chain, vehicle routes, site access, material flows, and security measures to keep operations lean and safe.

You will coordinate traffic management, haulier and subcontractor supply chains, and liaise with local stakeholders to secure necessary consents and ensure compliance with the project

Qualifications

• Experience leading logistics for large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to plan and enforce vehicle movement routes and delivery slots.
• Proven track record coordinating sub-contractors and traffic marshalling teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the supply chain, site access, material flows, plant allocation (cranes, hoists), traffic management, and waste strategies to ensure safe, lean, and uninterrupted site operations
• Plan and enforce vehicle movement routes, delivery slots, offloading zones, hoarding inspections, and perimeter security
• Manage traffic management and logistic plans and liaise with local stakeholders to ensure consents are in place
• Allocate deliveries to the project and ensure hauliers and trades supply chains follow the Traffic Management and Logistic Plan
• Conform to logistics strategy detailing staffing requirements with traffic marshals, fire marshals, labourers, hoist drivers, security, and carpenters provided by sub-contract logistic companies
