Job summary

Amida is seeking a Logistics Manager to join our client on a permanent basis in South West England, supporting one of the UK's largest high-tech construction contracts over a three-and-a-half-year programme.

Reporting to the Logistics Director, you will oversee supply chain, site access, material flows, plant allocation (cranes and hoists), traffic management and waste strategies to keep operations safe, lean and uninterrupted.

About The Role

Reporting to the Logistics Director, the Logistics Manager will join Amida on a permanent basis in South West England, supporting one of the UK's largest high-tech construction contracts over a three-and-a-half-year programme. The role carries a salary of £70,000 to £80,000 plus package. Duties cover supply chain oversight, site access, material flows, plant allocation including cranes and hoists, traffic management and waste strategies, ensuring safe, lean and uninterrupted operations. The postholder will plan vehicle movement routes, delivery slots, offloading zones, hoarding inspections and perimeter security, manage logistic plans, liaise with local stakeholders to secure consents, and allocate all project deliveries across hauliers and trade supply chains.

Reporting into the Logistics Director on a 3 1/2 year scheme, you''ll be required to do the following:

• Oversee the supply chain, site access, material flows, plant allocation (cranes, hoists), traffic management, and waste strategies to ensure safe, lean, and uninterrupted site operations
• Plan and enforce vehicle movement routes, delivery slots, offloading zones, hoarding inspections, and perimeter security
• Manage traffic management and logistic plans and close liaison with local stakeholders to ensure the necessary consents were are in place
• Responsible for ensuring the allocation of all deliveries to the project and that hauliers and trades supply chains adhered to the Traffic Management and Logistic Plan
• Conforming to logistics strategy for the project, detailing staffing requirements with traffic marshals, fire marshals, labourers, hoist drivers, security and carpenters provided by sub-contract logistic companies

Depending on the calibre of the candidate, up to £75k plus package and all subsistence paid for.
