NHS Jobs is recruiting a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Hip Surgery in Reading. The post involves managing a personal caseload including hip and knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy, and running lists with minimal supervision.

There is a daily trauma commitment and on-call sharing with the current teams, with participation in governance, teaching and CPD activities. The role requires active involvement in early morning trauma rounds, attendance at governance meetings and continuing

Qualificações

• Specialist knowledge and skill in hip and knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and operate on own caseload of hip and knee patients.
• Run lists independently without senior oversight.
• Share weekday and weekend trauma on-calls with existing teams.
• Participate in departmental governance, teaching and training activities and attend daily and weekly meetings.
