Job summary

Thornton Legal is seeking an ambitious litigator to lead the expansion of the firm’s litigation offering. The role is designed for someone ready to take over an established practice with a strong client base, backed by a planned handover from a retiring senior litigator.

Qualifications

• Solicitor with around 4 years' PQE or above
• Experience in civil litigation or related areas would be advantageous
• Capable of managing own caseload and building client relationships

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of civil litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
• Advise on disputes including property litigation, contractual disputes, debt recovery, commercial litigation and other general civil matters
• Build long-term relationships with both private and commercial clients
• Work closely with colleagues across the firm to support cross-referrals and client service
• Play a key role in the future development of the litigation department
• Progress into a senior leadership position, with a clear route towards Director level for the right individual
