Job summary

AMD seeks high calibre software engineers to design and implement embedded firmware for AMD networking products. Based in the Cambridge UK office, you will collaborate with silicon, host driver, and system test teams to deliver next-generation networking software for data centres and AMD AI systems.

You should have 7+ years of software experience in silicon or networking, strong C programming skills, and experience with Linux, Verilog/VHDL, and PCIe.

Qualifications

• 7+ years software experience (or equivalent) working at silicon or networking companies.
• Proven commercial experience developing in C
• Experience of python and other scripting languages
• Strong communication skills
• Hardware/software codesign
• Ethernet & TCP/IP
• Embedded systems ideally with experience of system software and device drivers
• Understanding of server system architectures e.g. PCI-Express
• Experience of linux systems
• Experience of digital design (EDA tools, Verilog, VHDL)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded firmware for AMD networking products.
• Collaborate with silicon and host driver teams to refine designs and develop high-performance networking stacks.
• Work with system test to bring products to release and support across AMD sites.
