Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks graduate software engineers to design and implement system software for the FinTech accelerated networking platform.

Based in Cambridge, UK, you will join a high-performance team developing software that blends low-level networking with hardware datapath optimization. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week in the Cambridge office, offering exposure to multiple AMD sites and collaboration with firmware, driver, and test teams to ship production-ready

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Maths or a related field.
  • Experience writing C code.
  • Experience with Python and other scripting languages.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with Linux systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop open-source system software for networking acceleration on Linux.
  • Understand the networking stack from applications to kernel drivers and hardware interfaces.
  • Collaborate with firmware, driver, and test teams to refine interfaces and deliver tested releases.
  • Tackle engineering problems with strong software design skills.
