Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced verification engineer to join our networking silicon team in Cambridge/Edinburgh. You will verify next‑generation network processors and SmartNIC technologies, creating robust verification plans and automation, employing AI-assisted engineering to improve productivity and coverage.

The role requires collaboration across hardware, firmware, and software, with strong debugging skills and a passion for scalable verification methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand new features and define verification requirements.
• Build comprehensive verification plans spanning hardware, firmware, software, and system-level use cases.
• Develop directed and constrained-random tests, verification environments, and automation infrastructure.
• Estimate verification effort and identify enhancements to verification environments.
• Debug test failures and work with RTL/firmware engineers to resolve defects.
• Review and drive functional and code coverage closure through targeted test development.
• Contribute to advanced verification methodologies and AI-driven workflows to accelerate silicon quality and readiness.
• Develop automation solutions and leverage AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency, debugging, coverage, and test development.
• Drive continuous improvement of verification processes through scripting and automation.
