Job summary

Sepura Ltd seeks Linux/Android Platform Developers to join the Software Team in Cambridge. You will focus on Android platform development, framework/service changes, and the Android toolchain for embedded, battery-powered systems.

Strong background in Linux/Android development is essential, including kernel work, ASOP/Kernel trees, and large codebase management with Git. Agile scrum collaboration is expected for mission-critical products.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Android architecture and Linux kernel.
• Experience optimizing Linux/Android performance and power management.
• Proficiency with C++ in real-time multi-processor/multi-threaded environments.
• Experience with mobile platform development and debugging/profiling tools.

Responsibilities

• Android platform development and kernel configuration enhancements.
• Integrating open-source tools for debugging, profiling and memory checks.
• Prototyping demonstration systems to validate proposed solutions.
• Producing architectural, design and test specifications.
• Performing integration testing and issue resolution.
• Participating in project planning and technical reviews.
