Job summary

Technical Futures Ltd in Cambridge seeks an Embedded Linux Engineer for a hybrid role. You’ll work on embedded Linux, bare-metal, RTOS, device drivers, and communications protocols across robotics, sensing and IoT.

Collaborating with FPGA/electronics teams and customers, you’ll help design, build and test embedded systems from concept to delivery in a consultancy environment. A good degree and relevant open-architecture experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.1/Bachelors or Masters in CS/Software/Electronics or similar.
• Embedded Linux development including device trees, user-space/kernel-space, and SoC platforms.
• Experience with Yocto.
• Real-Time Embedded C/C++ development.
• Proficiency in Python and broader embedded domains.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test embedded systems across robotics, sensing, communications and IoT devices.
• Work with FPGA and electronics teams to deliver concepts to delivery.
• Collaborate with customers in a consultancy environment.
