My client is looking for a talented Senior Systems Administrator to join their dynamic team based in London and work on cutting-edge trading platforms.

Role Overview: As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be a key member of a highly technical team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the client's trading platforms. This role provides ample scope to learn new skills and collaborate with multiple teams, supporting clients with the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deployment and maintenance of software, OS, and hardware using systems and configuration management tools (RH Satellite, Ansible, etc.).
• Systems capacity planning and management of scalable environments for Dev, QA, Test, and Production.
• Management of backups, archiving systems/scripts, and patching plans.
• Enhancement and improvement of current technology, focusing on low latency tuning, build specification, and research of new products and services.
• Participation in the support rota, providing troubleshooting and upgrade assistance during market hours.
• Mentoring and training of the 1st line support team to enhance their skills.
• Assisting clients through the implementation process, from initial specifications to integration and support.
• Providing Linux support and assistance to the DevOps team and maintaining up-to-date documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of system administration experience within a RedHat (or derivative) based environment.
• Proficiency with CI/CD systems and GIT.
• Experience with low latency systems or financial environments is desirable.
• Scripting skills in Python and bash, with additional languages being a bonus.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and Terraform is desirable.
• Database administration skills (MySQL, Elastic) and basic SQL query crafting.
• Experience with packaging and maintaining software in an RPM-based environment.
• Advanced networking skills (VLANs, routing, load balancing, multicast, etc.) are desirable.
• Proficiency with virtualization software (VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with multiple technical teams.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated good judgment in solving problems and proposing solutions in advance.
