Job Description: Senior Linux Engineer

Our client, a technology-driven cloud native service provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer responsible for the smooth operation of their RedHat-oriented technology stack.

Essential Skills

• Manage IT and computer systems, including:
• MySQL, MSSQL, and Postgres databases
• iSCSI SAN Technologies
• Xenserver Clustered virtualized environment
• System monitoring
• Network configuration and management
• Firewall configuration and management
• Microsoft AD and Remote Desktop Services (Windows 2019)
• Scripting experience (Bash, Korn, C, Shell, etc.)
• M365/MS Exchange
• Container-based infrastructure (Docker/Kubernetes)
• IP-based phone systems
• Cloud environments (AWS)
• Dell server hardware

Daily Responsibilities

• Maintain the company's disaster recovery infrastructure
• Monitor key systems for availability and capacity
• Prioritize and schedule I/O tasks
• Develop and implement systems and procedures in collaboration with management
• Ensure systems comply with security policies
• Audit systems for issues
• Ensure system availability to meet SLAs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly

Personal Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Linux hardware/software management
• ITIL experience
• Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
