Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils invite applications for a senior specialist role in Licensing. Lead on complex licensing matters, provide technical support, and contribute to policy reviews within a busy team.

You will coordinate with internal colleagues, liaise with external partners and ensure compliance with licensing legislation across diverse cases, including enforcement actions when required. Regular travel is expected to cover the district.

Qualifications

• Full professional licensing practitioner training qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of interpretation and application of licensing legislation.
• Experience investigating statutory complaints and presenting technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordinating technical support to Licensing Team line management and colleagues.
• Initiate, investigate and rectify breaches of licensing with external partners.
• Manage complex licensing matters and prepare reports for courts or formal bodies.
• Explain licensing matters clearly to applicants, businesses and stakeholders.
• Gather evidence, draft reports and prepare prosecution files as needed.
