Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are seeking a senior licensing specialist to lead on complex licensing cases and projects within the Licensing team. You will coordinate technical support, advise applicants and stakeholders, and influence policy delivery while safeguarding compliance and public safety.

Travel across the district is expected, with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. The role offers a busy, supportive environment and opportunities to develop licencing expertise.

Qualifications

• Requires professional licensing qualification and specialist credentials.
• Experience investigating statutory complaints and presenting technical reports.
• Lead officer for regulatory matters and complex licensing issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordinating technical support to Licensing Team and represent on specialist matters.
• Investigate breaches of licensing and support external enforcement partners.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Licensing law and deliver feedback to stakeholders.
• Advise applicants, businesses and the public on licensing and technical issues.
• Ensure licence conditions are followed; gather evidence and prepare prosecution files.
• Assist management with policy reviews, consultations and publishing acts.
