Salt Ayre Leisure Centre has the latest in fitness and training equipment, an indoor adventure play area and indoor and outdoor climbing facilities. Not to mention an immersive spinning studio and dedicated training zone.
In your role you will be responsible, as part of a team, for maintaining the smooth running of the state of the art Leisure Centre. You will be dedicated in delivering an excellent customer experience for all our established and new customers. Supervising the swimming pool and flume, setting up and cleaning equipment for a wide range of sporting activities will be some of your day-to-day duties.
The Senior Leisure Assistant will be responsible for helping, guiding and steering all frontline employees about their day-to-day work.
The Senior Leisure Assistant will assist the Duty Officer / Leisure Supervisor, in the day to day running of the shift.
The Senior Leisure Assistant , must ensure Centre changeovers are completed on time and must be tidied away on time, also ensuring the correct equipment is available for each session, and the room temperature is also adjusted as required .
The Senior Leisure Assistant will support all Teams in maintaining a high-level of cleanliness both inside and outside the building, respond to emergency situations, as and when they arise, report any shortfalls by any staff member to the Shift Leader and to work as a Lifeguard, as and when needed to ensure a hight level of pool supervision is maintained .
You will be the face of the Leisure Centre and it is a great opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, passionate and vibrant team. You will be confident and outgoing as your duties will include organising school holiday events and children’s birthday parties . You will also be expected to work in other areas of the leisure centre after appropriate training.
You will be offered work / shifts based around the centre opening times; 5.00am to 11:00pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am-8.00pm at weekends. This post is based at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential for this post.
Excellent swimming ability will be required for this post. At the interview stage you will be required to carry out a swimming ability test.
An enhanced clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service is essential.
