Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC in London and Mumbai seeks a Legal Entity Controller – Associate to strengthen the US GAAP reporting and the control environment for a UK regulated entity. You will collaborate with colleagues in London and Mumbai to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust controls.

You will build key stakeholder relationships, support month-end close, and prepare management and regulatory outputs while continuing to enhance cross-border processes and data quality.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a monthly reporting cycle on balance sheet or P&L.
• Ability to work under considerable time pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of heritage organisation systems and architecture.
• Strong analytical ability to discuss results with product controllers and senior management.
• Diverse product knowledge with ability to learn new products.
• Ability to partner and influence across businesses and support groups.
• Control-focused mindset with willingness to challenge the status quo.
• Attention to detail with awareness of materiality levels.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial balances and provide business analysis and commentary for senior management.
• Prepare standalone US regulatory reports for the Federal Reserve Bank.
• Deliver supplementary financial information for Corporate Reporting.
• Develop an understanding of business flows and products.
• Post legal entity level adjustments during month-end close and on an ad hoc basis.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Control, Financial Control, Corporate Financial Reporting, Tax, and UK Regulatory Reporting.
• Act as a point of contact for business queries on financial matters and foster relationships across Lines of Business.
• Collaborate with the Mumbai LEC Team.
• Prepare management reports, including monthly MIS, Board Committee papers, and quarterly Executive Management Reports.
• Resolve inter-entity issues efficiently.
• Manage FX tradeout processes.
