Simmons and Hanbury have been exclusively instructed by a fast-growing global fintech company on a new Senior Legal Counsel position based in London.

The role can be filled on a hybrid or remote basis, requiring 1-2 days per month in London.

The Position

The role is broad, focusing on regulatory and advisory work, especially with Product teams. Responsibilities include:

1. International regulatory and advisory support as the business expands and establishes its regulatory frameworks.
2. Managing and developing a team of three legal staff.
3. Providing privacy advisory services.
4. Supporting corporate governance and compliance matters.
5. Risk advisory and issue identification.

Experience Requirements

1. 5+ PQE years of experience (guide only).
2. Strong academic background.
3. In-house experience, preferably in a high-growth company with broad legal exposure.
4. Experience in fintech, payments, or consumer tech/financial services sectors.
5. Strong commercial awareness, confidence, and practical, calibrated advice skills.
