Responsibilities

The successful candidate would join the Communications Regulatory part of the "Consumer/Communications/Commercial Content Regulatory" team which plays an important role in our European Legal team. The team works on a wide range of complex and high profile issues, in a fast-paced environment, working across a range of consumer, communications and commercial content areas.

The team works on a wide range of complex and high profile issues, in a fast-paced environment, working across a range of consumer, communications and commercial content areas.

Responsibilities

• Supporting business teams to ensure ongoing compliance with new and existing legislation across the Europe region.
• Supporting our product legal team to review new products and features against relevant law and guidance.
• Ensuring the consistent handling of regulatory enquiries and investigations.
• Assessing risk and coordinating with the wider business as a trusted adviser on compliance and risk management issues.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Relevant experience of advising on EEA and/or UK electronic communications service regulatory matters e.g., privacy, security.
• In-house or private practice experience of advising on various regulatory matters - e.g., providing risk and compliance advice, engagement with regulators, regulatory investigations, consultations, implementation of new laws.
• Relevant experience of advising on multi-jurisdictional regulatory matters in Europe.
• In-house experience of advising on digital regulation in the EEA and/or UK.
• Good knowledge of the EEA and/or UK electronic communications services regulatory legal framework.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work on a wide range of complex and high profile issues, in a fast-paced environment, working across a range of telecoms regulatory issues.
• Ability to take responsibility and drive forward matters independently (with ad hoc support from manager, as needed).
• Ability to engage and form good relationships with a wide range of other legal and business stakeholders and multi-task more generally.
• Willingness to learn and get up to speed on a wide range of European communications regulatory rules which we work with day to day.
