Legal Cashier Position

Expanding City law firm is looking for a legal cashier to assist with all aspects of day-to-day cashiering and accounts functions. Expected duties include:

1. Checking incoming office/client receipts and transfers.
2. Regularly checking the online banking system throughout the day for updated activity.
3. Maintaining all client account transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts rules.
4. Dealing with queries relating to client accounts.
5. Performing bank reconciliations.
6. Updating billing and purchase ledger.
7. Reconciling petty cash on a weekly basis and ensuring all slips are signed appropriately with supporting documentation.
8. Processing bills.

It is essential that you have a background as a legal cashier/legal accounts assistant (at least 18 months experience) and possess a strong understanding of SRA procedures and HMRC regulations.
