Liverpool Hope University seeks a Senior Lecturer (Teaching & Learning) for Secondary History (0.5 FTE) to teach on the History PGCE, develop the curriculum with a research-informed approach, and support trainees and mentors. The role focuses on building strong university-school partnerships and advancing teacher education.

The successful candidate will bring deep History expertise and a commitment to social justice and inclusion, with experience across key stages and in HEI contexts.

Qualifications

• Strong subject expertise in history and training the next generation of Hope teachers.
• Experience in HEI and ITE curriculum development.
• Ability to engage across multiple key stages and partner schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach on the History PGCE programme and contribute to curriculum development.
• Provide pastoral support to trainees and contribute to recruitment activities.
• Visit trainees in Partnership schools and support school-based mentors.
• Support wider aspects of the programmes and develop research-informed practice.
