Job summary

Liverpool Hope University invites applications for a Senior Lecturer (Teaching & Learning) in Secondary History at 0.5 FTE on a fixed-term basis until 9 July 2027. The post focuses on teaching the History PGCE, developing a research-informed curriculum, and providing pastoral support to trainees within our Partnership schools.

The successful candidate will have strong subject expertise in history, and a track record in HEI/ITE curriculum development and collaboration with schools.

Qualifications

• Strong subject expertise in history.
• Experience in HEI/ITE curriculum development beneficial.
• Ability to contribute to recruitment and partnerships with schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach on the History PGCE programme and contribute to curriculum development.
• Provide pastoral support to trainees and mentor school-based tutors.
• Support recruitment activities and visit trainees in Partnership schools.
• Contribute to wider programme developments and the Teach Education mission.
