Job summary

CompassRock is seeking a Senior Leasing Agent to join our London Head Office-based leasing team. You will drive outbound sales, conduct property tours, and engage with prospective residents to secure leases.

The role requires 3–4 years in Build-to-Rent, strong communication, and leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment. You will support marketing strategies, track leasing metrics, and ensure compliance with UK regulations.

Qualifications

  • Sales or customer service qualification, or equivalent experience in a sales environment.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Build-to-Rent (BTR).
  • Experience in a lease-up environment is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in closing deals and renewals.
  • Demonstrated ability to support, mentor, or guide junior team members.
  • Good understanding of residential lettings legislation and compliance (UK).
  • Proven background in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

  • Drive outbound sales and lead generation to convert prospects into residents.
  • Manage leads with HubSpot CRM; ensure timely follow-ups and accurate records.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual property viewings to showcase communities.
  • Progress tenancy applications and prepare tenancy documents accurately and promptly.
  • Support resident relations, renewals, and proactive problem solving to improve retention.
  • Meet sales targets and KPIs while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

PerformanceManagement:

  • Outbound Sales:Conductand leadsales activities through calls, texts, emails, and in-person interactions to generate leads and convert prospects into residents.Perform corporate outreach activities, hold opendaysand attend networking events to cultivate leads.
  • Lead Management:Utilise our CRM system to manage and track leads effectively, ensuringtimelyfollow-ups andmaintainingaccuraterecords.
  • Viewings:Conduct in-personviewings as well asfacilitatevirtual property viewings,showcasingthe features and benefits of our communities.
  • TenancyAdministrationProgression:Follow all the necessary steps to progressan application through the process from lead to lease, from applicant to resident.This process includes ensuring all statutory documentation has been sent to residents, the referencing processhas been followedand that tenancy paperwork including tenancy agreements areaccurateand created withina timelymanner.
  • Lead Generation:Actively seek out and generate leads through various marketing strategies, networking, and community engagement.
  • Follow-Up Communication:Maintainstrongfollow-up with leads to cultivate relationships and encourage lease signings, while effectively tracking interactionsusing HubSpot (CRM). This rolenecessitatesstrong sales techniques and exceptional communication skills, utilising phone, text, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Market Analysis:Stay informed about local rental market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to effectively position the property and adjust sales tactics.
  • SalesTargets and KPIs:Take accountability for performance against targets, supporting underperformance and driving overall results.

Customer Service:

  • Client relationships:Build andmaintainstrong relationships with both corporate and residential clients, acting as a role model for the team.
  • Resident Support:Deliver exceptional service to residents and prospects, while supporting the team in handling more complex queries or escalations.
  • Proactive Problem Solving:Identifyand address potential challenges in the leasing process swiftly and effectively, utilising analytical skills to develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency and resident satisfaction

ResidentRelations &Renewals:

  • Resident Engagement:Foster a positive community environment through regular communication and events, ensuring residents feel valued and connected while enhancing overallresidentsatisfaction and retention.
  • Renewal Management:Proactivelyengagingwith currentresidentstofacilitatetenancyrenewals,taking a proactive role in driving retention and coaching the team on effective renewal conversations.
