The role focuses on delivering targeted interventions, improving attendance and engagement, and providing holistic support that enhances wellbeing and readiness to learn, with a strong emphasis on inclusion and collaboration with families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of developing and delivering intervention programmes.
• Experience of working across a whole-school approach and targeted groups.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with students, families and staff.
• High resilience, patience and emotional intelligence when supporting students with complex needs.
• Commitment to inclusion and removing barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop targeted programmes to improve attendance, achievement and engagement.
• Deliver and co-ordinate effective whole-school and targeted interventions for individuals and groups.
• Provide guidance and support that positively impacts students’ self-esteem, wellbeing and readiness to learn.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and leadership to remove barriers to learning.
• Engage proactively with parents, carers and external agencies to provide holistic support for young people.
