Job summary

Education Impact Academy Trust seeks a Senior Learning Mentor to join the Pastoral Team. You will lead targeted programmes to boost attendance, achievement and student engagement, and coordinate effective interventions for individuals and groups.

You will work with teachers, pastoral teams and leaders to remove barriers to learning and support students’ wellbeing and readiness to learn, engaging with families and external agencies to provide holistic support.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in developing and delivering intervention programmes.
  • Experience delivering whole-school and targeted interventions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and staff.
  • High resilience and emotional intelligence when supporting students with complex needs.

Salary: Grade 4 £34,434 - £41,771 FTE plus SEN Allowance £1722. Pay Award pending Autumn 2026

Hours of work: 36.5 hours per week, All year round with an option to work banked hours

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: 2 November 2026

About The Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Senior Learning Mentor to join our Pastoral Team. This key role will support the continued growth of the school.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop targeted programmes to support improvements in attendance, achievement and student engagement
  • Deliver and co-ordinate effective whole-school and targeted interventions for individuals and groups
  • Provide guidance and support that positively impacts students’ self-esteem, wellbeing and readiness to learn
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and leadership to remove barriers to learning
  • Engage proactively with parents, carers and external agencies to provide holistic support for young people
About You
  • A proven track record of developing and delivering successful intervention programmes
  • Experience of working across a whole-school approach as well as with targeted groups and individuals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, staff and external professionals
  • High levels of resilience, patience and emotional intelligence, particularly when working with students who may present with complex needs or behaviours
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to improving outcomes for those from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
  • A clear commitment to inclusion and removing barriers to learning
