Job summary

Education Impact Academy Trust in Birmingham is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning, independence and personal development. You’ll work closely with teachers and multi‑disciplinary staff to help deliver high‑quality education.

Salary: Grade 2 £24,796 – £26,824 FTE (£19,304.30 – £20,883.15 Actual) Pay award pending Autumn 2026

Allowances: SEN allowance £1,722 pro rata

Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week (8:50am – 3:50pm). Term time only.

Contract type: Permanent

About the role

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, independence and personal development, working closely with teachers and our multi‑disciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities
  • Providing classroom support to enhance teaching and learning
  • Offering pastoral support and building positive relationships with pupils
  • Assisting with moving, handling and positioning
  • Supporting pupils with personal care needs where required

Due to the complex physical needs of our students, experience or willingness to assist with moving, handling, and personal care is essential.
