Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council in Grimsby is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with pupils across the age range under the direction of teachers and senior staff. You will support learning and personal development, including pupils with SEN, plan with the teacher, differentiate activities, provide feedback, and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Completion of HLTA or an equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• Completion of Higher Level Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification or significant experience.
• Routine administrative and ICT skills including timely record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons with teachers and participate in planning and assessment.
• Provide feedback to teachers and pupils on progress and behaviour.
• Manage learning environments and resources safely.
• Support pupils with SEN and facilitate access to the curriculum.
