Job summary

Baker Hughes, Nailsea site, is seeking a Lean Leader to drive operational excellence through Lean Six Sigma and business transformation initiatives. You will partner with site leadership to deploy strategic improvement programs across manufacturing, supply chain, and support functions.

The role requires leading large-scale continuous improvement, coaching leaders in Lean, and delivering measurable productivity and quality gains. Flexible working patterns may be offered where possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, or operational excellence leadership roles.
• Proven track record delivering measurable productivity, quality, cost, and operational improvements.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification; Master Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the site Continuous Improvement roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Partnering with the Site Leader and leadership team to identify strategic transformation opportunities and improvement priorities.
• Driving Lean Six Sigma projects utilizing DMAIC, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, DFSS, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Establishing and delivering improvement targets focused on productivity, quality, inventory, cost reduction, OTIF, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborating with operations leaders to improve labour productivity, throughput, first pass yield, capacity utilization, lead times, and schedule adherence.
• Leading site-wide process optimization and waste elimination initiatives across value streams.
• Coaching and developing leaders and teams in Lean principles, problem solving, and continuous improvement tools.
• Building and sustaining a pipeline of high-impact improvement projects delivering measurable operational and financial benefits.
