Job summary

B&S Group is seeking a high-energy Site Operational Excellence Lead to drive Lean and Continuous Improvement across the Sunderland site. This role requires a hands-on leader who observes processes, challenges the status quo and delivers measurable gains without compromising safety or quality.

You will work across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance and IT to embed the Kaizen system and develop Lean capability.

Qualifications

Strong practical experience in Lean, Operational Excellence or Six Sigma.
Proven record delivering measurable operational improvements.
Experience coaching and developing operational teams.
Lean Six Sigma training or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Spend significant time across operational areas, seeing problems first-hand.
Identify waste, bottlenecks, poor processes and opportunities for improvement.
Lead Kaizen events, rapid improvement projects and structured problem-solving activities.
Turn opportunities into clear plans with baselines, targets, owners and deadlines.
Drive projects through implementation and sustain improvements.
Improve productivity, labour efficiency, service, quality, cost, inventory, flow and lead times.
Develop Lean capability through practical coaching and hands-on development.
