Job summary

QinetiQ seeks a Senior Manager- Technical Safety & High Hazard Assurance at its Farnborough site. You will be the UK Technical Safety Authority for complex safety-critical activities, shaping decisions to ensure safe delivery across a diverse programme portfolio.

You will lead the HAM framework, ensure ALARP compliance, and collaborate with regulators, customers, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and learning.

Qualifications

• Extensive HAM expertise in safety risk control and ALARP principles.
• Experience as Technical Safety Authority interpreting legislation and standards.
• Deep knowledge of defence high-hazard operations and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the UK HAM framework across high-hazard activities.
• Provide independent expert advice on safety-critical risks and decisions.
• Lead governance, audits, and risk review processes for HAM.
