Job summary

QinetiQ Limited, Fort Halstead site near Sevenoaks, seeks a Site Safety Lead to partner with the operational team, providing expert HSE advice and driving safety culture improvements across the site.

You will lead investigations, support regulatory compliance, and coordinate audits, training and communications with stakeholders while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires NEBOSH qualification and a proven track record in safety leadership within complex engineering environments.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience leading site safety initiatives in complex environments.
• Hands-on HSE management experience in practitioner or operational leadership roles.
• Root cause analysis and regulatory engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to promote a positive safety culture across the site.
• Provide expert HSE advice to operational teams ensuring compliance and competence.
• Drive implementation of HSE policies, strategies and objectives through stakeholder engagement.
• Deliver safety improvements through training, coaching and communication with stakeholders.
• Lead and support accident, incident and occupational health investigations.
• Monitor and improve HSE performance through audits, inspections and ISO compliance.
