Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Farnborough is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to support complex projects from bid through delivery, developing tailored risk solutions and contributing to risk registers and cost/schedule estimates.

The role requires leading risk management within project teams, coaching and mentoring lower level professionals, and ensuring alignment with governance and controls. The position is 37 hours per week on site at Farnborough, with SC clearance as a minimum requirement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in risk management across full project lifecycle.
• Experience leading risk management in project teams.
• Experience developing new processes and mentoring others.
• Familiarity with Predict! risk tools.
• Ability to advise on contingency and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Drive best practice and implementation of risk management systems to support delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain high‑quality risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Analyse and report on risk data to inform decision‑making.
• Advise teams on risk exposure, contingency and operational impacts of strategies.
• Lead complex projects and deliver effective risk management outcomes.
• Engage stakeholders and provide risk assurance aligned with project controls.
